Balloon Builders with Enjoy the Little Things with GDP #029

I love the Colour Challenge set by The Global Design Project this week and I had seen a Card design by Dawn Wolesagle. Here is my take on it.

I have used the Balloon Builders Stamp set with Tangelo Twist, Bermuda Bay and Early Expresso inks on a piece of Thick Whisper White card slightly smaller than a card front in full strength and stamped off to stamp the large and smaller balloon in the set in a few clusters. I then stamped the string also in Early Expresso Ink. To finish the card front I stamped the sentiment from the Enjoy the Little Things stamp set in Tangelo Twist. I attached the stamped card from using Stampin' Dimensionals onto a Thick Whisper White card front.

You can watch a video and chat on how I made this card on Katch.

Pedal Pusher Stamp with Wildflower Fields Paper and Expression NaturalElements Sale-A-Bration Card using Mojo Monday #440 with Video

Happy Easter to you all. I hope you have had a happy and safe day. After a yummy Lunch with my Family I was in the crafting mood and wanted to give this weeks Mojo Monday Sketch #440 a go.

To start this card I used the Wildflower Fields Paper which is a Sale-a- Bration item that you can earn, I chose the rain background as it is a rainy day today and the flowers pattern as it is my favourite. I cut all the pieces to match the the sketch and attached them to a Thick Whisper White Card Base. I changed out the circle in the sketch for an Oval as it worked better with my Petal Pusher (also a Sale-a-Bration item) image that I stamped In Basic Black Archival Ink and cut out using our Oval Framelits. I coloured the Bike using Calypso Coral, Blackberry Bliss, Lost Lagoon, Hello Honey and Old Olive Stampin Write Markers. To create the ground below the bike I took some Crumb Cake ink and my Blender Pen and drew a fading out ground line. Before adhering the piece on I added a length of Pool Party Glitter Ribbon and the added the oval stamped piece. To finish the card off I added the Thanks that I had previously coloured with a bit of purple ink and my Aqua Painter from the Expression Natural Elements.

You can watch a video and chat on how I made this card on Periscope till 5pm Monday 28th March or on Katch.

To order any of the products I have used simply go to my SHOP NOW button to order these products from the Occasions Catalogue and earn the Sale-a-Bration (before March 31st) items by spending $90 before shipping and handling.

Happy Patterns Mask with Happy Happening and Botanicals Blooms Stampsand Botanical Builder Framelits - GDP #028 with VIDEO

After mounting all my new stamps and putting away my framelits yesterday, it was time to play along today with the Global Design Project #028 - Case the Designer. I have been waiting for the perfect moment to play with my Happy Patterns Decorative Masks and today was the day.

I started my taking the Diamond pattern mask in the Happy Patterns Decorative Maskand inspiration from the Red/Pink in the designers card. I chose Watermelon Wonder, Mint Marcon and Tip Top Taupe Inks as my colours and sponged them randomly over a piece of Whisper White card stock. Next took a Tip Top Taupe card base and stopped it using the little flower from the Botanical Blooms stamp set in Versamark ink over the background. I took a scrap from the It's my Birthday Paper Stack in black and white and cut 2 thin strips and also a scrap of vellum to cover the masked and sponged piece and atcched them to the card. Taking the Botanical Builder Framelits I cut the Flower and flower centre in Watermelon Wonder and Tip Top Taupe card stock and attached it to the vellum. Using the sentiment from the Happy Happening stamp set I stamped the sentiment in Basic Black Archival ink. To finish the card I added a bow using the Mint Marcon Dotted Lace Trim and a Pearl in the centre of the flower.

You can watch how I made this card on Periscope till 5pm Sunday 27th March or on Katch.

Z Fold Pop-Up Card using Amazing Birthday and Ballon Celebration with VIDEO

I loved this card as soon a saw the amazing Dawn Griffiths demo it on her You Tube Channel. I have cased the card with a few of my own touches to make it my own. I was also able to create a video to share you and my team.

I started this card I cut a piece of Bermuda Bay card stock length ways and scored and folded it in half. To create the Z fold I folded the front of the card back on its self and scored it. I did the same with a  1" strip of Bermuda Bay card stock the same length. Next I took the Black and White Paper from the It's My Party Paper Stack and matted it on a piece of Whisper White card stock and attached to the front panel of the card. I lined up the 1" Bermuda Bay strip so that the z fold is opposite to the cards Z fold and stamped the round 'fireworks' stamp on the strip with Versamark Ink and attached it to the card by placing Fast Fuse on the front panel of the card and the small tab on the strip. Next I embossed some scraps of Melon Mambo, Bermuda Bay and Crushed Curry cards stock and embossed them in the Big Shot using the Large Polka Dot Embossing Folder and punched a small balloon from the Balloon Bouquet Punch in each colour and Attached them to the from of the card using Stampin' Dimensionals. I added a length of It's My Party Baker's Twine to each balling using Glue Dots. Using the Amazing Birthday stamp set I stamped the birthday cake image on a piece of Whisper White with Basic Black Archival Ink and punched it out with a 1 1/4" circle punch and attached it to a 1 3/8" Melon Mambo punched circle and attached using Stampin' Dimensionals over the ends of the baker's twine. Now for the rest of the card I punched 1 large and small Crushed Curry and It's My Party Candle Paper Balloons and 2 Large Melon Mambo balloons using the Balloon Bouquet Punch  and stamped the solid balloons in the matching ink colours using the balloon detail stamps in the Balloon Celebration stamp set. Before adhering the balloons I stamped the sentiment from Amazing Birthday on the inside of the card in Basic Black Archival Ink. To attach the balloons to the pop up part of the card I have used small strips of Window Sheets and Glue Dots, the Melon Mambo Ballon is as double on front and back so it can be seen when card is opened or closed. The other two balloons are adhered to the card and I drew in the strings using a Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker to finish off the card.

You can watch how I made this card on Periscope till 4pm Wednesday 23rd March or on Katch.

Envelope Card using Awesomely Artistic Stamps and In Colour Inks and Envelope Paper

Sorry for it being so long between projects last week was just crazy, but good news I am back with a project to share with you an Envelope Card

To start this card I made an envelope with the Envelope Punch any size you want using the 2015-2016 Envelope Paper (Delightful Dijon).  I the trimmed a piece of Whisper White just smaller than the envelope base. I stamped this piece using all the stamps in the Awesomely Artistic stamp set in Tip Top Taupe, Watermelon Wonder, Cucumber Crush, Delightful Dijon and Mint Macron Inks and adhered it to the envelope base. To make a closure for the envelope I made a belly band using a strip of he Mint Macron envelope paper and stamped and hand cut a few pieces from the stamp set. The label in Tip Top Taupe, Medallion in Crushed Curry and Dragonfly in Watermelon Wonder and adhered them over the belly band join to finish the envelope card.

Timeless Textures, Celebrate Today Stamps and Perfect Pairings Sale-a-Bration Card

I few months ago I was asked to make a custom card for a colleges mothers 60th. It was made during a blackout by a camping lantern light..... but it did make the night go quickly. Knowing her style I knew Timeless Textures and monochromatic card was the way to go I did case (copy everything and share) the card from Angela Lorenz.

To make this card front I took a piece Whisper White Card stock slightly smaller than a card base and my Basic Grey and Basic Black Archival inks along with Smokey Slate and built up layers using the various stamps from Timeless Textures in the three colours. To create the sentiment piece I punched 2 circles using the our circle punches in Vellum and Black card stock. I stamped Happy Birthday from the Celebrate Today in Black Archival Ink on Basic Grey card stock and adhered them using Stampin' Dimensionals. Next I decorated the inside of the card to match the front using the Smokey Slate ink and a number from the Timeless Textures stamps. To create the sentiment I stamped the 60th from the Project Life Day to Day stamp set and Horray to you for the Sale-a-Bration set Perfect Pairings in Basic Black Archival Ink.

Watercolor Lifting with Heat Embossing with Friendly Wishes and Flower Patch Stamp using Mojo Monday 438 with Video

I have used one of the left over Watercolor Lifting with Heat Embossing piece from the last card which is a technique I saw Jennifer McGuire do a few weeks ago and tweaked it to work for me. I used this weeks Mojo Moday Sketch to complete the card.

I stared this card with the Watercolor Lifting with Heat Embossing technique. I have done it little differently to the original but the result is the same. Starting with a piece of Watercolour Paper and took some of our reinkers in Blackberry Bliss, Rich Razzleberry, Rose Red and Melon Mambo and an Aqua painter and liberally applied the colour making sure to blend where the colours met. When this was dry (if you are impatient you could use your heat tool) I mounted a number of flowers and leaves from the Flower Patch and Floral Wings Stamp Sets inked them with Versamark and covered in Clear embossing powder and melted the powder with the Heat Tool. To make this technique what it is I wet the entire watercolour piece and let it sit for a bit and mopped it off with a paper towel (repeat this step if necessary). This reveals a lighter background and the darker heat embossed embossed images. I stamped the sentiment from Friendly Wishes stamped in Basic Black Archival Ink on Whisper White card stock. Next I took Blackberry Bliss, Rich Razzleberry, Rose Red and Melon Mambo Stampin' Write Markers and coloured the heart and friend in the sentiment. Then I cut the Black Colour Me Irresistible paper with a Circle Framelts using the Big Shot and Magnetic Platform which I adhered to a Whisper White piece slightly smaller than the Basic Back card base. I added the Watercolor Lifting with Heat Embossing piece as per the sketch and matted the sentiment piece on a piece of Basic Black card stock and adhered it with Stampin' Dimensionals. For a finishing touch a added 3 Melon Mambo It's my Party Enamel Dots.

You can watch how I made this card on Katch.

Watercolour Lifting with Heat Embossing using Flower Patch and Floral Wings Stamps with Hello You Thinlits and Global Design Project #026 Card with Video

I have been wanting to try the Watercolor Lifting with Heat Embossing that I saw Jennifer McGuire do a few weeks ago and this weeks Global Design Project #026 was the perfect opportunity.

I layered a piece of Blackberry Bliss card stock onto a Thick Whisper White card base. I added the watercolour piece with double Stampin' Dimensionals. To make the sentiment piece I punched a piece of Whisper White card stock with the 2" Circle punch and stamped it with the same stamps with stamped off Blackberry Bliss. I die cut 2 Hellos from the Hello You Thinlits using the Big Shot with Precision Plate and Die Brush to release the card stock. I layered these together over the circle punched piece and adhered them to complete the card.

I did create a video finishing off the card off and some of my creative process, be warned I was sick and did cough and sniffle as I was going. You can watch it on Katch

Work of Art and Thoughts and Prayers Card with Video

I have finished the kit I have been working on for the past 2 days in between life. Once again like my card yesterday I have had to rework to due to some retires colours and products. I have loved playing with these old designs.

To start the card I took the Work of Art stamp set and used to big swoosh stamped off in Mossy Meadow ink stamped onto the Bottom of the Very Vanilla card layer. Next I took one of the smaller swooshes and stamped it vertically to the right of the Mossy Meadow in Lost Lagoon and without reinking to the left vertically to create a background. I then took the tree from Thoughts and Prayers and stamped it Chocolate Chip Ink over the background stamping. I took the Big Shot and Label from the Rose Garden Thinlits and cut it out from Lost Lagoon card stock. Using the co ordinating stamp set I chose the sentiment and stamped it in Tip Top Taupe on a scrap of Very Vanilla card stock and punched it out with the 1 3/4" Circle Punch. Using the Tip Top Taupe Ink I edged the circle and stamped card layer. I adhered the die cut label directly to the card using Fast Fuse and the sentiment with Stampin Dimentionals. These layers were then adhered to a Tip Top Taupe card base to finish the card.

You can watch how I made this card on Periscope till 4pm 7th March or Katch anytime.

Work Of Art with 2014-2016 In Colours Card with Video

In the last week I have found a kits of cards ready to made the is nearly 2 years old. It was showcasing the then new and now about to retire 2014-2016 In Colours there were some now retired products on the card so I took the opportunity to do some re-invention of the original.

To make the card I took the large paint swoosh from the Work of Art Stamp set and stamped it 5 times on top of each other using Mossy Meadow, Hello Honey, Tangelo Twist, Blackberry Bliss and Lost Lagoon Inks on Very Vanilla card stock. I stamped the sentiments also from Work of Art in Soft Suede Ink again on a scrap of Very Vanilla card stock and punched with the 1 3/4" Circle Punch and edged the circle in Lost lagoon Ink. Next I punched 3 Elegant Butterflies in Hello Honey, Blackberry Bliss and Tangelo Twist card stock and 3 Vellum card stock Bitty Butterflies. To attach the butterflies together I used glue dots and covered them from being seen with the small Iced Rhinestones. I adhered the stamped piece to a Lost Lagoon Card base using Fast Fuse and the butterflies with more glue dots. For a finishing touch I took for Silver Thread that I wrapped around my hand and attached it to the back of the sentiment circle with Fast Fuse and the attitude the sentiment to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

You can watch how I made this card on Periscope till 5pm 6th March or Katch anytime.

Sunburst Thinlits with Feel Goods and Balloon Celebration Stamp using Global Design Project #025 with VIDEO

I have given the Global Design Project Colour Challenge #025 (Smokey Slate, Basic Grey and Daffodil Delight) a go this afternoon with a few Periscope friends. I had a the idea to make a stormy sky with sun rays as soon as I saw the colours.

To start I cut 2 Sunburst Thinlits on in a Whisper White and Daffodil Delight on the Big Shot using the Magnetic Platform. I took a Thick Whisper White card base and the white Sunburst using it as a mask and sponged the card base with Smokey Slate Ink making sure it is not smooth and blended as I wanted to give it some texture. Next I put the mask aside and stamped the clouds from Balloon Celebration in Basic Grey Archival Ink. Now onto the sentiment I chose the sunshine one from the Feel Goods stamp set in Basic Grey Archival ink on Whisper White.  I cut the sentiment and a piece of Silver Foil sheet with Circle Framelits in the Big Shot using the Magnetic Platform. To add a touch of shimmer I used Clear Wink of Stellar on the Grey clouds in the background then I sponged the sentiment and Sunburst with Daffodil Delight ink. To put it all together adhered the Sunburst and Foil Circle flat to the card and the sentiment with Dimensional Adhesive. Some single silver sequins from The Silver Sequin trim finished off the card.

You can watch how I made this card on Periscope till 3pm 5th March or Katch anytime.
